Hi, I’m Michelle Lopez Boggs

I’m the author of The Anti-Marketing Manifesto: How to Sell Without Being a Sellout. I made my living entirely as a freelance copywriter for over 15 years (and a general freelancer for 20 years). I’ve had the privilege of writing and editing for some of the smartest, coolest, most interesting business owners on the planet. I was here wayyy before social media was a thing… and long before AI was a thing. 😅

My path to copywriting was bumpy and nonlinear. I started as a research assistant and proofreader for the New York Times bestselling book, Columbine. I graduated from The University of Colorado with a degree in English/Creative Writing, then got hired four months later as a technical writer, working from home with a juicy salary. The 2009 recession took away that client… then I shifted to being a virtual assistant (VA), an Online Business Manager (OBM)… and finally I found my sweet spot: online marketing and copywriting. I reached six figures in my business (part-time) until God redirected me into the world of coaching.

In the last couple years I’ve been coaching people on their marketing and copywriting, while helping my students land their first dream copywriting client. What I’ve learned is: it’s not just about taking action. It’s truly about your mindset while you take the actions.

1) Q: How long is this program?
A: “Land Your First Dream Copywriting Client” is a 90-day coaching program. You can download all of the course materials and review them at any time. But the weekly coaching is for 90 days, starting from the date you sign up or the day you’re onboarded, whichever is later.

2) Q: Is this 1-on-1 coaching?
A: No, technically this is a group program. But it will feel like one-on-coaching, because of all the personalized guidance you’ll get. You can ask me questions any time through DM or email in between the weekly check-in calls.

3) Q: Will I get course materials and then just have to figure everything out on my own?
A: No! You will implement what you learn week by week and bring your questions and challenges to the weekly calls, where I will coach you through any issues. You’ll be well supported during this program.

4) Q: Do you guarantee that I will land a paying client during this program?
A: Yes. If you show up to at least 80% of the weekly coaching calls, follow all the instructions I give you, and make the necessary changes, you will land a client. If you follow my exact coaching and for whatever reason, you do NOT land a client, I will coach you for free until you do.

5) Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: No. However, I reserve the right to cancel and refund any program at my sole discretion.

A: That is actually quite common! Copywriting is often considered a “gateway drug” to other business ventures, and that’s perfectly fine. Either way, you’ll walk away with valuable business, marketing, and sales skills and insights that will help you in other fields. One of my clients loved the copywriting program, but after completing it, she realized she’s better suited as an account manager. She still got great value from what she learned and it translates into her current work.

A: Once you submit payment for the program, PayPal will notify me by email. Please allow 24-48 hours for me to get you onboarded into my system. Also include a link to your current portfolio / writing samples. Then we’ll schedule your 1-on-1 strategy coaching call, where we’ll go over everything and set you up for success in this program.
