How inspiring is your marketing? [4 Questions to Ask]

TAKE THE QUIZ: “How inspiring is your marketing?”

Inspire (verb): to fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.

How inspiring is your marketing?

In other words, how effective is it at getting people to DO or FEEL something?

Uninspiring marketing is a waste of paper/cyberspace…not to mention, a waste of money if you’re paying someone to produce it.

Here are 5 questions ask to determine whether or not your marketing is INSPIRING people to buy your products…or not.

1. Do people regularly sign up to join your email list?

2. Do people regularly tell you they LOVE your email newsletter?

3. Do people regularly buy your products?

4. Are your sales INCREASING more and more each year – at the level you want them to?

5. Are you PUTTING YOURSELF OUT THERE in a way that generates strong response from readers AND makes you nervous (because you’re taking a risk)?

Answer these questions honestly for yourself. Count up the number of “Yes”s and “No’s” you got. Then see where your score is below:

If you had 1-5 “No’s,” on any of these questions, then you may need to create some new STRUCTURES that will make your marketing more inspiring. (See my post on “The Path of Least Resistance” for more info about the underlying structures in our life/business.)

If you answered “No” to any of these questions, then you’re probably missing some key structures in your marketing strategy…and this is making it harder for people to buy your products.

You’ll want to address this by creating a simple “marketing funnel” that gets people subscribed to your email list, and turns those subscribers into paying customers fast.

Start by creating:
  • an irresistible free gift that educates, entertains, and inspires
  • a landing page that promotes that free gift
  • an email autoresponder series that further educates subscribers
  • a fantastic sales page that sells your product

Depending on how marketing-savvy you are, some of this lingo may be unfamiliar to you…but this doesn’t negate the fact that you need to be using MARKETING FUNNELSĀ if you want to be more inspiring.

This is especially true if you sell TANGIBLE, consumable organic products! Because hardly anyone in organic is using these funnels as a marketing strategy. They really stand out and add value.

Tip: make sure your funnel really nails your message in a clear, exciting way. If you need help with this, contact me.

If you had 5 Yes’s, congratulations – you’re in the ideal situation to CRUSH IT in your sales! Obviously you already have marketing structures in place that are working well. You’re in the perfect position to amplify what’s already working…and do MORE OF that. Your best strategy is simply to continue creating great content (save time and get my help with this.).

You might consider making a *few* small tweaks to your existing sales pages in order to maximize sales. Other than that, focus on creating at least one new marketing funnel every quarter with different angles, while promoting different products you sell.

Where are you at now? Where do you want to be?

This “How inspiring is your marketing?” test cuts to the chase and lets you know how effective your marketing really is.

Because in order to get people to buy your products…you HAVE to inspire them to do so. Period.

If you don’t get a “Yes” to all 5 questions, then your marketing is not as inspiring as it could be. That’s the bottom line.

Once you know where you are, then you can decide whether you’d like to take some actions to make your marketing more inspiring.
