Most business owners don’t need to hire a copywriter…YET.
What they actually need is to become the person who can set their copywriter up for success. This is the foundation of a writer actually getting results for you long-term.
A copywriter can be highly experienced and skilled — but if YOU are indecisive, controlling, unstable, or always making last-minute changes… hiring a copywriter won’t fix your marketing.
In fact, it often makes things worse.
Without setting your copywriter up for success from the start, this can lead to:
- Endless revisions
- Missed deadlines
- “This doesn’t sound like me” complaints
- Stories about how your last 3-4 copywriters “all sucked”
- Control issues disguised as “high standards” – forcing you to continue writing your own copy
- Burned-out contractors (who talk sh*t about you after they’re done working with you)
- Emotional attachment to messaging, processes, or systems that aren’t working
- Vague or unstable offers that don’t cut through any market noise and make you look cheesy, fake, and forgettable
So the real problem isn’t copy. Or your copywriter.
It’s leadership and emotional regulation in how you make marketing decisions.
That’s the deeper issue that I actually solve. I’m the person who tells you whether you’re even ready to hire a copywriter — and coaches you if you’re not.
The Reality Check You Never Knew You Needed
If your marketing isn’t converting, the problem usually isn’t your copy.
It’s how you’re thinking, deciding, and leading the process of “putting yourself out there.”
If you:
- Struggle to clearly articulate your offer
- Constantly change direction (or “revamp your business model”) mid-project
- Rewrite and nitpick everything your copywriter sends you
- Fail to praise the good in your life
- Expect someone else to “figure out your business” for you…
You’re not ready to hire a copywriter (yet).
If you need to control every detail, over-explain everything, or act like you’re the smartest person in the room…
A copywriter won’t be able to help you, no matter how many millions of dollars they’ve helped other businesses sell with writing.
I’ve worked with people who have their marketing DIALED and generate six-figure days off their writing.
And… I’ve worked with business owners who’ve “burned through” multiple copywriters and can’t figure out what the problem is.
Those writers weren’t bad at their craft…
The business owner was unknowingly blocking the creative process — and was more committed to being right than getting results.
If you’re ready to change that, let’s get to work.
You can go one of two paths:
Path #1: Not Ready to Hire a Copywriter → Get Coaching
If that’s you, I won’t take your copywriting projects. (Yet!)
I’ll coach you instead. And don’t worry, this is where 90% of business owners currently are.
That means we’ll:
- Clarify your offer and your hook
- Clean up your messaging
- Identify hidden resistance patterns that you may have to being “seen and heard”
- Teach you how to lead a marketing campaign effectively
…so that if and when you DO hire a copywriter, they can actually create amazing results for you.
Path #2: Ready to Hire a Copywriter Now → High-Level Execution
If you are clear, decisive, and grounded in your messaging…
Then that’s where I step in as a strategic partner delivering:
- Campaign strategy
- Marketing project leadership
- Copywriting that motivates, educates, and inspires (as outlined in my book, The Anti-Marketing Manifesto)
- Execution that actually converts
I only write for companies that are ready to move forward.
Most copywriters adapt to you and take orders from you.
I’m trained to challenge you and extract the most meaningful lines of copy that will move your audience deep in their souls, so they never forget you.
If you’ve read this far, you probably already know which path you’re on.
Here are two ways to work with me:
Path 1:
Not getting results in your marketing? Start by getting some coaching.
Path 2:
Already dialed in? Let’s talk about your next campaign and how to amplify your impact.
Email me or DM me on Instagram and we’ll quickly decide which path makes the most sense for you.
