n “Burn the Village in Order to Save It?” Umm…No. | The Anti-Marketing Manifesto

As people start to realize the “cure” is worse than the problem…they will stop allowing the cure to ruin their life.

There’s a phrase, “burning the village in order to save it.”

I saw this phrase while reading Jim Collins’ book: How the Mighty Fall: And Why Some Companies Never Give In. (A great, short read on why previously successful businesses fail!).

Burning the village in order to save it…makes no sense.

It’s a mentality that’s currently being pushed onto the world, and the U.S. — state by state — in order to destroy people’s freedom and businesses (mostly by people who aren’t “free” themselves… and who have never started a business).

Some are falling prey to this mentality, by “closing their doors because they have no choice.”

Others are ignoring this dangerous mentality…and are continuing to stay open.

If you burn down your house in order to save the people in it, you are not saving anyone. All you’re doing is burning down your house…which is pretty f#%king stupid.

…Because then you’ll be asking others if you can “crash on their couch.”

If you burn down (i.e., close) your business in order to save the rest of humanity, you are not, in fact, “saving” anyone. All you’re doing is ceasing to work… which makes you of little or no value.

If you think YOU closing down your biz is saving ME…you are clueless.

I’m in charge of saving myself, thank you very much. My actions, my thoughts, and my beliefs are of more importance to my own life…than any actions you take (or don’t take).

(And that’s the mass lesson everyone on the planet needs to learn right now. Personal responsibility for carrying your own load.)

Closing your business is speeding up your own demise…and robbing your customers of the ability to benefit from your product or service.

If you have employees or contractors, you’re also robbing THEM of being able to serve you during this time…which takes away their ability to earn money.

My gym closed. My apartment complex (private property) closed their gym, “barring” residents from working out in it. My hairstylist refuses to give my fiance a simple haircut.

Why? Fear.

These are businesses who caved into the false belief that, “We don’t have a choice.”

They’re “burning the village in order to save it.”

Dan and I are making plans to “fire” these businesses that are closing and making excuses…for services not rendered. (After three years in this “luxury” apartment, we’re looking for a new town home or house to rent!)

Look. Just because it’s a “mass excuse” doesn’t make it right.

We’re spending MORE money with business we love… ordering takeout from local restaurants that are open, ordering stuff online, and giving our money to companies that going for it 100%! Why? Because they INSPIRE us!

…FOR NOT CAVING INTO THE MASS PROPAGANDA!

We’re also making it a priority to go outside of the house every day and meet people, shake hands, help others, and continue about our lives.

We aren’t participating in the “quarantine”…AKA the mass burning down of the village.

We aren’t sick…and nobody around us is sick. For those whose souls have chosen to pass on, we wish them the best in the next life.

The worst “virus” going around is FEAR, which kills the freedom of the soul.

If you don’t have freedom of the soul, then you’re already dead.

On that note…we’re not applying to any “relief” programs, or taking out “business loans” or debt…or waiting for a stimulus check to save us.

That would be a form of burning our own “house” down. Stupid.

We’re saving ourselves.

We’ve got this.

We’re tuning in closely to others who are sharing a similar message.

Dan travels daily around Colorado to help secure buildings, manage projects, and get shit done.

I’ve been working at home since 2006, so there’s no change for me… as far as work goes.

Keep working! And do not burn down your own village!

P.S. If you’ve closed your business even “temporarily”… you’re not saving anyone…or helping anyone. If you’ve sent out canned coronavirus emails, you’re not helping anyone.

When your business goes under… I won’t be there to give a single f#ck.

All you’re doing is giving me, and other customers a good reason to “fire” you and replace you with someone else who loves serving people MORE than you love burning down your own village.
