n “Energetically Clean” | The Anti-Marketing Manifesto

Certain people have an “energetically clean” style…meaning they don’t care whether or not others like them or agree with them.

An energetically clean person can help people see a problem in their life. And they can present a solution.

But they don’t care whether someone takes it or leaves it.

The act of NOT caring whether someone takes your solution, or leaves it — is what being “energetically clean” is all about.

There’s no clinginess…and you don’t over-care whether or not someone else achieves positive growth.

For example, one of the worst things you can do for someone is to care more about their success than THEY do.

Think about it. If a person doesn’t care about their own success…then there’s nothing you can do to help them change that. They’re the only one who can make the decision to change.

Caring too much for them robs you from caring about your own life.

One of the things David Neagle pointed out as his recent seminar is that, “It’s part of the middle class value system to do more for others than we do for ourselves.”

That includes caring more about other people’s success than our own success!

Most people are trained and programmed to bend over backwards to help others, at the expense of themselves — instead of helping themselves first. That’s part of why they’re broke and miserable.

These days, I work real hard NOT TO CARE if a person chooses to sabotage himself. This can be challenging, especially if it’s someone you’re close to.

But by detaching in a healthy way, you’re giving the other person a great gift. You’re allowing them to make their own choices, and you’re not getting mixed up in those choices.

Recently someone asked me a question. I gave them my answer. Then they tried to argue with me about my answer. I wasn’t interested.

“You asked for my thoughts. I gave them to you,” I said.

When a person tries to debate with you about something you didn’t ask to debate on…they’re not being “energetically clean.”

They probably have a tendency to get mentally and emotionally involved in things that have nothing to do with them.

Hell, I’ve been there myself. It’s called “Getting involved with shit that doesn’t matter.”

Breaking that habit is one of the biggest ways to create freedom for yourself!

The Result of Being Energetically Clean

Why does any of this matter? What happens when you truly detach from other people’s success (or failure)?

When you refuse to get mixed up in other people’s issues, that frees you to do sales-generating work.

The top enemy of home-based business owners is “everything that distracts you from doing sales-generating work.”

Over-caring about others is a big distraction. It pulls your focus away from the work that matters. Do that enough, and your sales will plummet.

Keep your focus “at home” (on the right things), and your sales will shoot straight up.
