n Technology Problems? Check Your Mindset | The Anti-Marketing Manifesto

When technology isn’t working, I’ve always found it to be a great metaphor for what’s going on internally – inside of US.

Technology seems to work so smoothly for someone who’s efficient, who’s in the right mindset, and who’s so focused, nothing could deter them.

Technology seems to break often, easily, and for no reason, for someone who’s got a constant snag in their mindset… someone who’s so unfocused, anything could deter them… someone who’s so chronically inefficient, receiving an influx of business, money, or clients would actually destroy them because mentally, they couldn’t handle it.

#Imploded.

Technology problems = check your mindset.

Usually it means walk away from something and go attend to something that’s more important for a while.

Getting frustrated at the minutia of “crap” your mindset is creating… is a misdirected energy expenditure.

Go to the source.

Instead of looking at the “broken technology” (like a video not uploading for 2 hours on my IG story, despite my repeated attempts to re-upload)—walk away from the symptom and focus on the root cause:

Your mindset.

“I don’t lose focus for anything, not even technology problems.”

“I don’t lose focus for anything, not even tyrannical agendas.”

“I don’t lose focus for anything, not even the world’s emergencies.”

The fact is, we all have super important, super urgent projects to attend to… and being frustrated over technology problems won’t get them done.

The bigger win would be to walk away from the technology “problem” and attend to the bigger priority.

This “we’re moving forward” mentality is training the mind to understand:

“We’re not entertaining your bullshit anymore. We’ve got shit to do. We’re moving past your bullshit. With or without you.”
